What we do
Urban Adventurers is an outdoor after-school and holiday club for kids who thrive on being outside exploring, but live in the city.
Our programs are led by nature-play educators.
Each season, kids explore a different part of their neighbourhood, getting to know its ecosystems and learning how to act as its guardians through play.
Activities range from beachcombing to nature-inspired crafternoons; with lessons on environmental care to help kids build mindful connections to nature and place.
Through activities and guided reflections, kids will build persistence, resilience and awareness of their community and the natural world.

While it would be great if our kids could explore the bush on a daily basis, for those who live in the city that’s not possible. But we believe that a healthy future depends on our connection with, and the restoration of, local urban ecosystems.

Our ratio of educators to participants is well under the legal requirement of 1:15. We promise that we will always have at least one educator to 10 participants.
