Our mission

We are driven by these not-for-profit objectives:

To provide after-school and holiday programs for children and adolescents centred around fostering experiential learning, hands-on exploration of local ecosystems, and promoting a deeper understanding of the natural world through play.

  • Community Building:

To build a sense of community among children, adolescents, and their families by creating spaces for shared experiences, fostering connections, and celebrating diversity within the community. This includes a commitment to inclusivity based on ability and neuro-diversity, working towards ensuring that our programs are accessible and welcoming to children of all abilities.

  • Local Environmental Care:

To instil a sense of environmental responsibility in participants for local ecosystems by educating, and developing a deep familiarity with the neighbourhoods they live in, conservation practices, and the importance of bringing back biodiversity to urban settings.

  • Mental Health and Resilience

To contribute to the mental health and resilience of children and adolescents by providing a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering curiosity and a love for nature, and offering fun activities that promote stress relief and emotional well-being. This includes a dedication to understanding and accommodating diverse needs, creating an environment that nurtures the mental well-being of all participants.

We strive to incorporate indigenous perspectives into our educational initiatives, fostering a deeper understanding of the land's cultural significance and the ongoing relationship of traditional custodians with Country. Through active collaboration and consultation with First Nations communities, we aim to contribute to the preservation and celebration of their rich cultural heritage.

  • Financial Accessibility:

To ensure that our programs are financially accessible to all families, irrespective of their socio-economic background, by implementing reasonable program fees, offering scholarships, and exploring sliding scale options.

  • Collaboration and Partnerships:

To collaborate with local schools, community organizations, First Nations peoples and communities, and government bodies to enhance the reach and impact of our programs, ensuring a coordinated effort in achieving our objectives. This collaboration includes actively seeking partnerships with organizations specializing in supporting individuals with diverse abilities and needs.tion goes here
