We’re passionate about leading sustainability education that’s fun!

Meet Hannah

Co-founder and joint CEO of Urban Adventurers, Hannah is fun energy in a human form. Not only does Hannah have a Bachelor’s Degree in Environment and Society and years of experience leading programs for youth in the bush, she’s a passionate dancer. Hannah is all about nurturing kids’ innate curiosity about the natural world, and building their sense of wonder, awe, and appreciation. Whether by an up-close look at ants marching by or looking through binoculars at a wedge-tailed eagle overhead, Hannah is excited to create opportunities for kids to move freely, safely and confidently outdoors.

For years, Hannah has volunteered at camps for at-risk young people. She leads with kindness, compassion, and a deep respect for meeting people where they are. Employing her sense of humour, she endeavours to create spaces that are comfortable, fun, accessible and safe for all.

When she’s not running programs, you can find Hannah biking along creek trails, playing her ukulele in the sun, or having a cuppa under a tree. Hannah is so excited to follow the seasons as she teaches with - and learns from - local kids!

Meet Pascale

As a kid, Pascale was the tree-climbing, bug-watching, listening to the magic of the leaves in the wind and water over rocks-type. Fast forward, and she's now a trained Forest School Leader who has run bush Playgroups and kinder sessions around Melbourne with Eco Explorers, and runs her own business called Naturelovers.

She has worked with Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri traditional elders and custodians on Kulin country for many years in Melbourne. She has learned our shared history, and of their cultures and languages, including how to read the landscape and seasons and how to use the local plants for food, fiber, and medicine. Pascale is very grateful to the traditional custodians of this land who've protected and nurtured all living things since time immemorial so that we can learn and love them today.

On top of that, Pascale is a qualified horticulturalist, with much indigenous plant knowledge, and has worked as a Garden educator at local primary schools and kindergartens locally for many years. You can also find her at the Port Phillip EcoCentre, as well as a Learning Facilitator at the Melbourne Royal Botanical Gardens where she shares all this experience with the public and students from schools,  kindergartens, and colleges.

As a founding member of the Yalukit Willam Nature Association, she's all about moth night surveys, growing plants, and tracking wildlife for the iNaturalist citizen science project. And guess what? She's super excited to take you on an exploration of the Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve. Get ready to listen, learn, and make unforgettable memories in the local ecosystems with Pascale
