How Can I Register for Urban Adventurers Programs?

• Sign up for our newsletter (scroll down!) to stay updated on program releases. We announce our term programs about 6 weeks before they start.

• Check our Programs page for availability.

• Early booking is recommended.,

Is There a Waitlist? 🤔

• We don't have a formal waitlist. Keep an eye on our newsletter for updates.

Where Are Your Programs Located? 🌲

• Currently, we only have programs located in Melbourne, Australia.

• After-school programs are run from schools. Enrolment is only for children attending the school the program is run from.

• Holiday programs are run in parks, and enrolment is open to any children between 8-12.

• We hope to have more locations soon, and as we do we will add them to our Programs page.

Do You Offer School Holiday Programs? 🏕️

• Absolutely! Check out our school holiday programs on our Programs page, details of which are released each term in our newsletter.

When Can I Book for the Next Term? 🗓️

• Bookings open roughly 3-6 weeks before the Victorian school term starts. We announce it through our newsletter.

• Returning families get priority, but we always have a few spots for new adventurers!

Do You Offer Casual Sessions or Trials? ⏳

• We offer trials for our term-long programs. After your trial, you enrol for the full term.

• We offer casual sessions for Holiday Programs, for either morning or afternoon sessions.

• Keep an eye on our newsletter for holiday programs and other opportunities to experience Urban Adventurers.

What’s the Cost to Attend? 💵

• Our programs are priced per term for our after-school programs or per session for our holiday program, and prices vary depending on the program type.

What Age Group Are Your Programs Suitable For? 👶

• Our programs are for primary school kids aged 8 and over.

Can Younger Siblings Join? 👶

• If they are over 8 or over, they are welcome to join. Otherwise, they will have to wait until they are old enough to join our program. For programs for younger children, see Eco Explorers or Nature Lovers.

What About Make-Up Sessions? 🔄

• We don't offer make-up sessions to maintain the consistency and safety of our groups. Our high-quality programs are carefully structured for the best experience each week.

What Should We Bring? 🎒

• Essentials include a change of clothes, gumboots, weather-appropriate gear, sun protection, snacks, and water. A detailed list will be sent before your program starts.

Role of Our Educators? 👩‍🏫

• Our Educators are highly qualified in nature-play education. They guide and support, while giving your kids freedom to explore at their own pace.

What happens if the weather is bad?

• We check the weather the day before the session and communicate with guardians accordingly. Bad weather doesn’t generally stop us from proceeding. This is Melbourne, after all! We will ask that guardians pack appropriate clothing for kids in our pre-session communication. We then moderate our session plan to accommodate the weather. However, if the weather will compromise safety, we will cancel the session.

What About Safety? 🐍

• Safety is our top priority! Our Educators all have Working with Children Checks and are trained in first aid and snake safety. We educate participants about safety in the area of the program, and have policies in place to ensure everyone’s well-being. Read more here about our protocols.
