Prepping for Urban Adventurers – It’s More Than a Backpack! 🎒
Before our adventurers step out, there’s a whole lot of prep that goes on behind the scenes. And no, we're not just talking about packing a rain coat (though that's important too!). From checking the weather to ensuring our gear is as ready as we are, we make sure we're prepared for everything Mother Nature has in store.
Risk Assessments – Our Safety Magnifying Glass 🔍
Think of us as detectives who are always on the lookout. We conduct risk assessments when we change locations for each season, and we also conduct an additional session-spcific risk assessment at the start of every session. We keep our eyes peeled for anything that might need a second glance, from those sneaky roots that try to trip us up to the curious wildlife we share our spaces with. And we teach our junior detectives to do the same – fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness.
Training – Not All Heroes Wear Capes 🦸♀️🦸♂️
Our educators are like superheroes, equipped with the powers of first aid training, risk management skills, and an endless supply of fun facts about our local critters. They're prepped to jump into action faster than you can say 'band-aid'!
Communication – Keeping You in the Loop 🔄
We're all about keeping the lines of communication as open as our skies. Whether it's a change in weather or a magical moment your child had, we keep you in the loop. We message you via WhatsApp the day before the session to let you know what to pack to prepare for the weather. If the weather is too inclement, we cancel the session. (Sorry, but safety comes before convenience!) We won’t cancel a session for a smattering of rain, but high winds or extreme heat make adventuring unsafe.
Emergency Management – Our Safety Compass 🧭
No one likes to think about emergencies, but like the Scouts, we believe in being prepared. Our emergency management plans are like a trusty compass, guiding us swiftly and surely, should the unexpected happen.
Privacy – Your Trust Is Our Treasure 🏆
We treasure the trust you place in us with your precious ones. That's why we guard their personal information like the crown jewels – only using it to enhance their safety and experience with us.
